Wednesday, November 7th, 2007 by Shareta BarnesHouston has a fresh, growing user experience community. If you are interested in joining the Houston user experience network please leave a comment on this post as we will be organizing new events for 2008.
Houston is the largest city in Texas, with a population somewhere in the neighborhood of 2+ million people. Known as a world headquarters for energy (specifically oil and gas), home to the Astros (baseball), Rockets (basketball), Texans (football), a NASA Space Center, and boasting a popular Theatre District, Houston is ranked as one of 11 U.S world class cities by the Globalization and World Cities Study Group & Network.

I just moved back to Houston and am looking forward to meeting more locals and attending events.
If you need any help organizing events, drop me a line and I may be able to help out.

Started working as a Software Analyst a year ago and User Exeperience is a big part of my job. I am looking to attend conferences, seminars, workshops, socials, etc. to help expand my skill set. Please keep me in the loop on things going on in Houston.

I work at a Houston-based public relations and advertising agency, Design At Work, as a web developer. I would love to be in the know and attend any meetings or events centered around UX and multimedia in general.

Is this group still active? I’d love to get coffee if there are any members in Houston.
