Software Saturday: Developing for XML/DITA

XML-based Darwin Information Type Architecture (DITA) content can be developed to work with various software tools including Adobe FrameMaker, JustSystems XMetaL Author, and other tools. However, to develop this content, changes must be made to your workflow.

This training session provides guidance to develop content for export to XML that is consistent with DITA-compliant XML. Learn the basics of XML and DITA and how software tools can work seamlessly with content.

* Describe how XML applies to day-to-day writing
* Create content that is compliant with the XML standards
* Build an XML and FrameMaker workflow
* Share content between software tools with minimal additional effort
