The NY UX community comes together for holiday cheer
Wednesday, December 12th, 2007 by Keith InstoneLast night in New York City, the bar under NOLITA Australian Restaurant at Eight-Mile Creek was packed as New Yorkers from IxDA, SIGCHI, IA Meetup, and UPA all banded together over drinks and food to celebrate the beginning of winter and the end of 2007.
Some 100 designers, researchers, students, recruiters (lots of recruiters), architects, and teachers talked shop, shared experiences, gave advice, and reminisced. It was a great event that really demonstrated the stronger commonalities (not the differences) between these communities.
If you post pictures from the event, blog the event, or find someone else who has reported on this celebration of user experience, leave a comment here with additional information.
(Thanks to David Malouf for details from the gathering.)
