John Sheridan (Canada) has been voted to become the new UXnet Local Ambassador Chairman. As such he is now also a full member of the UXnet Board.

js-pic_small.jpgDirk Knemeyer, president of UXnet, said “We very much welcome John Sheridan as a participant on the UXnet Board. His contributions as a Local Ambassador over the last two years have had a significant impact on the organization, and we have enjoyed his participation and attitude within our group.”

As LA Chair, Sheridan will represent all UXnet Local Ambassadors, as a full voting member of UXnet’s Board of Directors, and will nurture the communication and information flow to and between the Local Ambassadors, ensuring UXnet remains vibrant and relevant as a professional user experience network.

John Sheridan, who until recently was the local ambassador for Atlantic Canada, the most north eastern region of North America, said “I’m thrilled to take on the role as UXnet’s LA Chair, and to have the opportunity to continue working directly with the distinguished members of the UXnet Board. The organization’s renewed focus on the Local Ambassador demonstrates UXnet’s commitment to its roots and central purpose, and puts UXnet at the cusp of an exciting time to be involved in User Experience.”

He replaces Nick Finck, who resigned recently to focus on his local Seattle Local Ambassador activities.

John Sheridan is a seasoned business consultant, architect, and serial entrepreneur, and has been responsible for the creation of architectures, frameworks, and methodologies that directly lead to measurable results.

He began getting consistently involved in User Experience over a decade ago and from that point onwards, approaches the creation of any solution with the goals of simplicity, ease of use, and quick adoption. John has also been facilitating the UXnet Board of Directors strategic review, helping UXnet develop a focused roadmap for the organization.

John resides in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, where he runs management consulting, professional development, and new media publishing companies.

UXnet, the global user experience network, exists to make connections among people, resources, and organizations involved in User eXperience (UX) anywhere in the world. A network of 95 local ambassadors represent 72 locales in 28 countries on six continents.
