Summary:
College and professional sports is big business and technology is making the game more accurate and competitive for the athletes, while simultaneously improving the fan’s experience with more lifelike broadcasts in high-definition and up-to-the minute play-by-play action and information delivered to computers and PDAs. TechColumbus will explore the impact of technology in improving the fan’s sports experience with a panel of representatives from the favorite sports teams of central Ohio: The Crew, The Clippers, The Blue Jackets, and The OSU Buckeyes. The panel discussion will focus on how the speed and presentation of stats and game action has transformed sports ‘spectating’ through the use of websites, more advanced broadcasting, and wireless devices. www.techcolumbus.org/en/cev/?163
