Joe Sokohl
For 15 years, I have concentrated on crafting excellent user experiences, using information architecture, interaction design, writing, and user research. I consult teams on effective integration of user experience into product development. Currently with Keane, Inc., as the Director of User Experience (Global), I previously held UX-oriented positions in Hamburg, Germany; Richmond, VA; Chicago, IL; and Durham, NC. When not UXing I can be found riding my Moto Guzzi or hanging out with my wife Karen and wonder dog Sunny. Oh, and I've been a soldier, cook, road manager, radio DJ, and reporter once upon a time.

Please join us next week for our 2nd RUX (Richmond User Experience) group meetup!

Where: Barrel Thief Wine Shop & Cafe, 11747 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23233 (close to the interstate for both the Richmond and Charlottesville folks)
Reservations are under the RUX Group.
It looks to be an exciting meeting! We’ll hear from Joe Sokohl and others who attended the IxDA Interaction Design Conference in Savannah as well as go over the results of the survey we sent out.

Thanks to Susan Rector (Web Applications Manager, Library Information Systems | VCU Libraries), there’s a monthly informal meeting of IAs, UXDs, librarians, and other UXish folks. We had the first event in January and hope to meet the fourth Thursday of the month.
