IA Cocktail Hour Tokyo (F2F:Meet with Dan Saffer)

On August 23th (Sat), the last day of DESIGN IT! Forum 2008, we will host a F2F after party in conjunction with DESIGN IT! to celebrating Dan Saffer (Experience Design Director of Adaptive Path) with the release of Japanese version of his Interaction Design book and his first offical visit Japan. (He is the main guest speaker for this event.)

Based on the number of the participant, I will arrange the place for this dinner meeting, possibly arund Kanda or Ochanomizu in Tokyo area.

DESIGN IT! Forum 2008 (Tokyo, Japan)

One of the primary UX event in Japan, DESIGN IT!, will host another new events called “DESIGN IT! Forum 2008, The Present and the Future of Interaction Design” on August 22th, Friday and on 23th, Saturday, 2008. With Dan Saffer (Adaptive Path) as a main guest speaker, the 2 day event will offer 6 sessions and 2 panels, each will focus on Interaction Design (IxD) . The registration cost will be 25,000 yen for 2 day full pass, 20,000 yen for the 1st day pass, 10,000 yen for 2nd day pass. All pass includes Japanese version his new book “Designing for Interaction” which will be released during this event.

2005年から年1回程度、定期的に行われてきたDESIGN IT!ですが、今回は6つのテーマのうちのひとつである「インタラクション（Ix）」にフォーカスをあてたフォーラムとして開催されます。8月上旬にDESIGN IT! Bookシリーズとして出版される『インタラクションデザインの教科書 (DESIGN IT! BOOKS)』（毎日コミュニケーションズ）の著者、米Adaptive Path社のExperience Design DirectorでInteraction DesignerでもあるDan Safferをゲストに迎えて「インタラクションデザインの現在と未来」について日米で活発な意見交換を行う予定とのことです。

IA Cocktail Party Tokyo Vol.1 (Tokyo, Japan)

IAAJ and IAI-JP will host a cocktail hour party at Concent inc. start from 20:00 to 22:00 on Tuesday night, July 29th. From Vol.1 we will charge a mininum entrance fee as 2,000 yen for food and drink. We are planning to have a “Talk-free area”, something similar to the IA Mentering Booth which appeared at IA Summit 2006 Vancouver. So please bring your current problems or the best secret story!Please RSVP at entry (at) iaaj.org for your seat, I mean your food and drink.

前回のIAサミット報告会に引き続き、今回もコンセントのはせがわさんのご好意でコンセントでIA懇親会・情報交換会を開催します。今回からはミニマムチャージとして2,000円程度をお酒やお肴（とはいえ豪華なケータリングらしいですが）代として徴収させて頂きます。また、今回、コンセントさんの企画として「話せるスペース」も用意されるそうですので、ご期待ください。（IAサミット2006の”IA Mentering Booth“のようなものらしいです）なお、お酒やお肴の用意の関係もありますので、事前にentry (at) iaaj.orgまで参加表明いただけると助かります。

DESIGN IT! 2007 (Tokyo, Japan)

The DESIGN IT Conference, held since 2005, focuses on uniting IT (information technology) and design. It has six themes which are essential for providing a framework for designing IT in the future:

• Strategy

The DESIGN IT Conference 2007 is December 11-12, 2007, in Tokyo, Japan. The main speakers will be addressing “Managing Content and User Interfaces”:
