If you feel like you’re dealing with the same design problems day-to-day, come meet a new challenge! In the first session of our Design Studio series, we will pose a design problem for you to tackle in small groups. Eye-Tracking for Usability Testing (Oct 16, New York, NY, USA)

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007
October 16, 2007
6:00 pmto8:30 pm

(NYC UPA) Seeing what people do and hearing what they say is the heart of usability research. But what’s the brain doing? Nielsen Norman Group used eye-tracking technology to watch hundreds of people’s eyes as they used the Web, doing a plethora of different tasks and using different websites. Seeing exactly what the user is looking at – and not looking at – is like getting to sneak into his brain for a little while. Kara Pernice Coyne will discuss how she conducted this research and present some of the findings from it. She is the co-author with Jacob Nielsen of the upcoming book, Eyetracking Web Usability. NYC-UPA members: $10, Non-members: $20.
