IVICA 2009 (Austin, TX, USA)

The 2009 Symposium on Interactive Visual Information Collections and Activity (IVICA) invites submissions reporting research and practice regarding software for working with information visually. This includes the entire cluster of activities related to composing, nurturing, collecting, maintaining, and making associations within information; the environments and related tools in which these activities take place; and the theory behind these activities and environments.

JCDL 2009 (Austin, TX, USA)

The Joint Conference on Digital Libraries (JCDL) is the major international research forum focused on digital libraries and associated technical, practical, and social issues. JCDL encompasses the many meanings of the term “digital libraries”, including (but not limited to) new forms of information institutions; operational information systems with all manner of digital content; new means of selecting, collecting, organizing, distributing, and evaluating digital content; and theoretical models of information media, including document genres and electronic publishing.

Topics related to user experience include: content; services; system design; interface design; human-computer interaction; evaluation of usability; multimedia; social, institutional, and policy issues; user communities.
