The special theme for the EuroITV 2008 conference is “Changing Television Environments” with one emphasis being “changing user behaviors, user experiences and needs.”

The EuroITV conference brings together researchers and practitioners from diverse disciplines that include human-computer interaction, media studies, computer science, telecommunications, audiovisual design and management. It features work on different aspects of interactive television, such as IPTV, mobile TV, digital content production, entertainment computing, usability and user experience evaluation, changes in technical requirements and infrastructure, future technologies.

The Second Italian IA Summit, “Information Architecture and Innovation”, focusing on how IA can drive interoperability and innovation in PAs, the Academia and the private sector, will be held in Trento, Italy, on November 16-17th. Everyone interested in Information Architecture and related disciplines is invited to attend.

CHI 2008 focuses on the balance between art and science, design and research, practical motivation and the process that leads the way to innovative excellence. It is about balance in our rapidly evolving field, the balance between individuals and groups, collocated and remote, stationary and mobile, in both our local and global communities.
