About
Our Vision
We (still) see a bright future for user experience, where practitioners of different backgrounds will know how to work well together to design complex products, strategies, communications, and services. User Experience will be commonly understood and accepted by designers as foundational to their work. And User Experience will mature into a cross-disciplinary practice comprised of common language, concepts, methods, and shared wisdom needed to enable collaboration.
Our Mission
UXnet provided access to people and knowledge across the user experience community.
We provided the infrastructure, tools and information to increase awareness and accelerate the growth and value of user experience.
More about UXnet
UXnet was a 501c(6) non-profit organization. We did not have paid members, as we did not want to compete with the various industry associations that do have paid members. UXnet operating expenses were covered solely by donations and sponsorships.
UXnet was conceived in 2001 and launched as an unincorporated, exploratory venture in 2004. We incorporated in 2006. We disbanded in 2010.
